After US, EU gives a week to Facebook, TikTok over Israel-Hamas war

Soon after the European Union (EU) asked Facebook and Instagram as well as TikTok to remove pro-Hamas content across its platforms, it has given a deadline of October 25 to both Meta and the Chinese app to share information on their response to the Israel-Hamas war.

Both the platforms have already published their responses earlier this week but the European Commission is requesting Meta to provide more information on the measures that the platforms have taken to curb spread of misinformation on the platform.
