After Netflix, Disney to put an end to password sharing
Following in Netflix’s footsteps, Disney plans to crack down on password sharing among users.
During the company’s third-quarter earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger, who returned to the top-brass role last year, said that the company is actively exploring ways to address account sharing and identify the best options for paying subscribers.
Iger added that Disney plans to add new terms to subscriber agreements and, update sharing policies, and implement tactics to drive monetisation in 2024. “In calendar 2024, we are going to get at this issue,” Iger said.
