Adani buys 400 MHz airwaves in 26 GHz band for Rs 212 cr, only for captive use

First-time participant Adani Data Networks, a unit of the Adani Group, has bought 400 MHz of the 26GHz band (mmWave) across six circles for Rs 212 crore in the latest spectrum auction, indicating that it intends to use the airwaves for captive networks across the conglomerate’s businesses.
Adani Data Networks bought airwaves in the service areas of Gujarat, Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan, telecom minister Ashiwni Vaishnaw told reporters Monday.
