Actor Vijay’s IT army to swarm social media

CHENNAI: Stepping up his outreach for his political debut, actor Vijay’s All India Thalapathy Vijay Makkal Iyakkam is set to mobilize an army of IT functionaries across the state. They will spearhead the promotion of the organisation’s initiatives and programmes, besides countering opposition propaganda.

The fans club-cum-welfare organisation has convened a meeting on August 26 of more than 1,000 functionaries and social media influencers identified for the engagement on platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Instagram and Facebook in each assembly constituency.
