Active infrastructure sharing critical to ease out financially-stressed sector: Telecom group
NEW DELHI: The Tower and Infrastructure Providers Association (Taipa) believes that enhancement of scope for telecom infrastructure companies to include active sharing is vital to facilitate the cash-strapped industry, and it should be allowed without further delay.
“Given the financial condition of telecom operators, the enhanced form of infrastructure sharing or active sharing by IP-1 is the only way forward for the industry,” Taipa director general Tilak Raj Dua told ETT.
Delhi-based group represents infrastructure providers (IP-1) companies such as Bharti Infratel, American Tower Corporation (ATC), Indus Towers and Tower Vision.
