Accelerated market share gains for Airtel, Jio at Vodafone Idea’s expense among premium subscribers: Analysts

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea lost 3G/4G subscribers in the last six months compared to additions for Airtel and Reliance Jio, indicating rising pressure of 5G rollouts on the cash-strapped telco by its bigger telcos and accelerated market share shifts toward them, analysts at Jefferies and Kotak said.

They added that there will be accelerated market share gains for Airtel and Jio at Vodafone Idea’s expense, especially among premium subscribers.
