A screenshot from Build keynote hints at Windows 12 development

Microsoft announced several new features and changes for Windows 11. However, the fact is not hidden that the tech giant has already started working on the next-generation Windows operating system — allegedly Windows 12 — and is expected to arrive sometime next year.

Several instances of new Windows desktop design have come to notice by users. The company has already showcased a new desktop design during a keynote that showcased the floating taskbar and a couple of other changes to the desktop. Something similar has surfaced again a teaser showcased by Microsoft hints at the next-generation operating system.

During the ongoing keynote, some users noticed the screenshot that had a reference to a session named ‘next-gen of Windows’.
