Vivo takes on Xiaomi, Samsung with X100 Ultra phone with world’s largest telephoto — Details

Vivo has launched its most powerful camera phone—Vivo X100 Ultra—rival to Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. Interestingly, it features the same 1-inch main camera equipped with Sony’s LYT-900 sensor as the Xiaomi 14 Ultra but the star of the show is the periscope camera which uses the largest telephoto sensor ever put inside a commercially available smartphone.

The X100 Ultra has a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/0.98” LYT-900 sensor with an f/1.75 aperture and 23mm focal length. The main camera offers 1.5-degree hardware stabilisation and OIS using a gimbal setup.
