Google enables cross-platform chat between Google Chat, Teams, Slack and other platforms, supports messaging, files sharing and more

Google keeps adding new features to its services to make them more accessible for users. In pursuit of that, the company has now announced the interoperability of Google Chat with Slack, Microsoft Teams and other platforms. The interoperability between the three communication services will be backed by the Mio platform which is designed to bring together Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.

Interoperability works for workspace accounts

The Google Chat interoperability with Slack and Microsoft Teams is available for organisations provided they have Google Workspace setup along with a separate Mio license.
