HFCL to set up OFC manufacturing plant in Poland with Rs 144 cr capital outlay
NEW DELHI: Homegrown telecom gear maker HFCL Wednesday said it has expanded in Europe by setting up a new optical fiber cable (OFC) manufacturing plant in Poland which will have a capacity of 3.25 million fiber-kilometre (fkm) and scalable to up to 7 million fiber-kilometre (fkm). It is being set up with an initial capital outlay of Rs 144 crores.
The establishment of the manufacturing facility in Poland will be facilitated through the incorporation of a new step-down subsidiary in Poland under HFCL B.V., a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company in the Netherlands.
The new OFC plant will cater to the local market, as well as, demand in European markets such as UK, Germany, Belgium, France, and others.
