Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.79%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Monday.

Shares of Coforge Ltd.(up 2.55 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 2.25 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 2.23 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.16 per cent) and Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 0.77 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
