Augmentation of terrestrial spectrum, licensed satellite airwaves to help fill ‘black spots’: Viasat CEO

NEW DELHI: The augmentation of the terrestrial cellular spectrum with licensed satellite spectrum can help fill in “black spots”, which are areas where mobile phones cannot get network coverage, said a senior executive of American satellite communications (satcom) firm Viasat.
