India’s 5G smartphone shipments grow 67% year-over-year in 2023, led by Samsung: CMR
NEW DELHI: 5G smartphone shipments in India grew at 67% year-over-year in the calendar year 2023 led by Samsung with a share of 23%, Vivo (15%), and OnePlus (13%) even as the overall market recorded a 2% annual decline, according to the latest data released by CyberMedia Research (CMR).
For the full year, Samsung maintained its leadership in the smartphone market with an 18% market share, followed by Vivo at 16%, as per the research firm.
However, in Q4 2023, the market was led by Xiaomi with a share of 19%, Samsung 18.9%, and Vivo at 16%, while Realme and Oppo rounded off the chart at fourth and fifth ranks with 12% and 8% share, respectively.
