Million more talents to come from India for semiconductor industry: Ashwini Vaishnaw

NEW DELHI: The semiconductor industry is going to need a talent pool of a million more workers in the next decade, which will come from India, union minister for railways, telecom and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw said on Thursday.

“The semiconductor industry is going to require a million workers in the next seven to 10 years. This million-strong talent will come from India. This million-strong talent is part of our semiconductor mission’s biggest goal and we have already tied up with 104 universities and institutions to develop courses and training regimes,” Vaishnaw said at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024.
