Apple is giving CES 2024 a miss but here’s how it could steal its thunder

Apple doesn’t do CES. It isn’t doing CES this year, too. But even without being there in person, it could steal the grand tech event’s thunder. According to online reports, Cupertino is gearing up for a big “Vision Pro” related announcement in the same week CES officially kicks off for technology enthusiasts from around the world in Las Vegas. Moreover, Apple’s inaugural mixed reality headset, its next big thing, seems on schedule to launch and go on sale sometime in February. It was first announced in June of 2023.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is reporting that Apple has started shipping “small quantities” of the Vision Pro to warehouses across the US from where they will be distributed to Apple retail stores.
