Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.3%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index closed on a positive note on Thursday.

Shares of Persistent Systems Ltd.(up 2.37 per cent), L&T Technology Services Ltd.(up 1.79 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(up 1.47 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 1.3 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
