B2B e-commerce platform Udaan lays off over 100 employees
Udaan, a B2B e-commerce platform, has reportedly laid off 100 to 120 employees. This move comes after the company consolidated its two business verticals – essentials and discretionary – and is aimed at reducing redundancies, reports The Economic Times.
Earlier this year, Udaan announced its decision to merge and consolidate the essentials business with the discretionary business as part of organisational changes. According to the report, the company is now implementing a regional-operated design to enhance its growth and efficiency, resulting in job cuts.
In September, the restructuring exercise resulted in two of its key executives, Gaurav Bhalotia (CTO) and Vivek Gupta, the Head of Essential Categories, leaving.
