Gamers lead the crypto charge in everyday transactions, as fear of cryptocurrency wanes: Report

A global survey conducted by Arlington Research for Kaspersky has revealed that consumers are becoming more comfortable with the idea of using cryptocurrency, especially gamers. The study found that 81% of gamers currently own digital currency, and 55% consider themselves to be knowledgeable about it. The knowledge gap between men and women has also narrowed since 2022. Almost half of all respondents believe that cryptocurrency is the future of shopping and would be happy to use it as payment in their daily lives, with 38% willing to use it to buy groceries.

The survey also found that there is a high level of awareness about cryptocurrencies, with 92% of respondents having heard about them. 50% stated that they understand what they are. The top association with cryptocurrencies worldwide is that they represent the future of money.
