Google launches ‘GPT-4 killer’ Gemini

According to Cointelegraph, Google officially launched Gemini, its latest artificial intelligence model that it claims has surpassed OpenAI’s GPT-4.

Sources revealed that on December 6, 2023, Sundar Pichai, CEO, Google and Demis Hassabis, CEO and co-founder,Google DeepMind announced the launch of Gemini in a company blog post.

“Gemini Ultra is the first model to achieve human-expert performance on MMLU across 57 subjects with a score above 90%. We designed Gemini to be multimodal from the start, rrather than starting with a purely text model and then grafting on vision and audio encoders after the fact,” Jeff Dean, chief scientist, Google, explained.
