Meta might not let you chat with your Facebook friends on Instagram soon

Meta has announced that it will discontinue the cross-platform messaging feature that allowed users to chat with Facebook accounts on Instagram. Starting in mid-December, this integration will no longer be available, company announced in a blog post.

The feature was introduced in 2020, blurring the lines between two of Meta’s most popular social media platforms. It was later extended to group chats in 2021. The feature basically allowed users to seamlessly switch between Instagram and Facebook Messenger without needing separate apps for each platform.
