Bengaluru Tech Summit | Karnataka conducive to India’s first agritech sandbox: state govt official

Karnataka has all the enabling provisions to start the country’s first sandbox to test agritech innovations, a top state government official said Thursday.

“The Government of India is working seriously on this. Karnataka is also one of the lead players. The critical point here is data sharing. Two hundred lakh farmer plots are currently being photographed with geo-coordinates and identifying crops,” said Manoj Rajan, chief executive of Karnataka’s agriculture and horticulture department.
