David Attenborough is not happy with the AI-created version of his iconic voice

There have been several cases where deepfakes — audio and video — of celebrities doing the rounds. The latest one involves Sir David Attenborough. The renowned naturalist and broadcaster has expressed his dissatisfaction with the AI-generated replication of his distinctive voice, as showcased in a video released by programmer Charlie Holtz.

The video shared by Holtz on X demonstrates the capabilities of artificial intelligence in mimicking Attenborough’s iconic narration style. Holtz asked GPT4+ to get AI-powered Attenborough’s voice to narrate his life. There were comments on X from users who were amazed how close it was to real life Attenborough. However, the man himself was not pleased at all.
