L&T ventures into fabless semiconductor chip design, to invest Rs 830 crore

Infrastructure major L&T is venturing into the semiconductor space with its board giving approval to the incorporation of a wholly owned subsidiary to engage in the business of fabless semiconductor chip design and product ownership.

The company will make an investment of up to Rs 830 crore towards the setting up of this subsidiary.
