Telcos say fair charge pay by large OTT players won’t violate net neutrality

NEW DELHI: Incumbent telecom carriers Reliance Jio, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea have come out strongly saying that a fair-share contribution from over the top (OTT) players would not violate the principles of Net Neutrality.

“Contrary to the misguided opinions being floated in various fora, a fair-share contribution from OTTs will not violate Net Neutrality,” SP Kochhar, Director General of the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) said.
