Jony Ive, Sam Altman wants to create the ‘iPhone for AI’

Jony Ive, the former design chief of Apple and lead designer of the iPhone, is reportedly discussing with Sam Altman, CEO and founder of OpenAI, the development of an “iPhone of artificial intelligence.”

Earlier, The Information described the project as the “hardware for the age of AI.”

Ive and Altman are said to have had a “brainstorming session,” as reported by The Information, then Financial Times adding that the two met at Ive’s design firm, LoveForm’s studio in San Francisco.
