Ola resumes bike-taxi service in Bengaluru with electric S1 scooters

Ride-hailing major Ola on Saturday said it has restarted bike-taxi service in Bengaluru. Chief executive Bhavish Aggarwal said Ola will now use its electric S1 scooters for ride-hailing.

“Restarting Ola Bike in Blr today. This time, all electric and our own S1 scooters!” he posted on the microblogging platform X, formerly called Twitter.

Aggarwal added that Ola bike rides will cost Rs 25 for 5 km and Rs 50 for 10 km. “Lowest cost, very comfortable and great for the environment! Will scale across India over next few months,” the Ola CEO tweeted.
