Alibaba CEO has ‘AI warning’ for employees
Chinese technology companies such as Alibaba have been rolling out their versions of large language models (LLMs) – the underlying technology of AI chatbots. The company is aiming to be “user first” and “AI-driven,” its new CEO Eddie Wu told employees.
According to a report by CNBC, Wu has laid out the strategic priorities for the Chinese tech giant. Wu, who recently took the top job from Daniel Zhang, said that the company must “adopt a start-up mindset”.
“Times are changing, and so must Alibaba! As the world progresses, Alibaba needs to evolve even faster!,” Wu said in a letter to employees, adding that the company will “reinforce” its strategic investments in these areas.
