MGM Resorts International facing ‘cybersecurity issue’ causing outage across its hotels, resorts and casinos

MGM Resorts International disclosed a cybersecurity issue impacting its systems, including the website, online reservations, and casino services such as ATMs, slot machines, and credit card machines.

According to a recent post, MGM Resorts has discovered a cybersecurity issue that has affected some of the company’s systems. The company acted promptly upon detecting the issue and immediately launched an investigation with the help of leading external cybersecurity experts. They also notified law enforcement and took necessary steps to protect their systems and data, including shutting down certain systems.

The investigation is still ongoing, and the company said it is working diligently to determine the nature and scope of the matter.
