OpenAI chief Sam Altman becomes first to get this ‘special’ visa

OpenAI’s chief executive Sam Altman has received a ‘special visa’. Indonesia has awarded Altman with its first “Golden Visa”. Last week, the country launched a scheme to attract foreign investment to Southeast Asia’s largest economy. A special visa was introduced as a part of this scheme to boost economic development. This visa allows foreigners who make substantial investments in the country to remain for between five and 10 years. For example, if someone invests $350,000 into shares of local public companies, savings accounts or government bonds will be eligible for a five-year stay.
