Users can stop Meta from using their personal data to train generative AI models
Since the advent of generative AI, there has been a debate on how these models are trained and what data they use. Reports have suggested that the companies are using users’ personal data to train these models. Now, Meta has updated its help resource centre with a form that allows users to opt out from providing their data to train generative AI models.
According to a report by CNBC, Facebook users can delete some personal information that can be used by the company in the training of generative AI models. The updated Facebook help center resource section includes a form titled “Generative AI Data Subject Rights,” which allows users to “submit requests related to your third party information being used for generative AI model training.”
