Reliance Retail valuation doubles in 3 years. Time for Mukesh Ambani to announce IPO at Monday’s AGM?

After Mukesh Ambani sold a 1% stake in Reliance Retail to Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) at a valuation of $100 billion, RIL bulls are pinning hopes that the billionaire may drop IPO hints at the conglomerate’s annual general meeting (AGM) on August 28.

QIA has valued Reliance Retail Ventures, the holding company of Reliance’s organised retail business, at a pre-money equity valuation of Rs 8.3 lakh crore. At an estimated net debt of Rs 33,200 crore in FY25, RRVL’s enterprise value stands at Rs 8.6 lakh crore, and equity per share value stands at Rs 1,200, according to Motilal Oswal’s calculations.
