WhatsApp will now let users create groups without having to name them

WhatsApp has announced a feature that will allow users to create groups on the instant messaging app without having to name them first. Currently, if one wants to create a group, he/ she has to name it before the participants can start messaging each other.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the update on his Instagram channel and Facebook handle. This feature is rolling out globally over the next few weeks.

“Making it simpler to start WhatsApp groups by naming them based on who’s in the chat when you don’t feel like coming up with another name,” Zuckerberg said.
