Back to office mandate: Amazon may have an ’employee’ problem

Last month, Amazon asked some employees to relocate to “main hub” offices as tech companies move to adopt a hybrid workplace model post Covid-19 pandemic. Now, a report has suggested that some workers are opting to quit instead of relocating.

According to a report by CNBC, staffers who are unwilling or unable to comply are being forced to find work elsewhere, and some are choosing to quit. Citing an internal document, the report said that an employee in Texas was hired in a remote role and assured by the team manager in March that nothing would change despite the return-to-office (RTO) mandate.
