Stock market update: Nifty IT index advances 0.56% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 10:44AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

Coforge(up 3.56 per cent), MPhasis(up 3.43 per cent), Persistent Systems(up 1.2 per cent), Infosys(up 0.65 per cent) and Wipro(up 0.52 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Tata Consultancy(down 0.05 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
