Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, wife’s charitable organisation lays off employees

Meta, earlier this year, laid off 21,000 employees as CEO Mark Zuckerberg looks forward to a ‘Year of Efficiency’. According to a new report, the charitable organisation of Zuckerberg’s wife, Chan Zuckerberg, has now cut four dozen jobs this week.

Chan Zuckerberg Initiative (CZI) has reportedly laid off 48 employees, a report by Business Insider cited two people familiar with the company.

The job cuts were reported by The 74 Million, a website that covers education and was co-founded by Campbell Brown, a vice president at Meta, and CZI spokeswoman Raymonde Charles later confirmed the development.
