Google is dropping Play Store support for these Android smartphones
Google keeps dropping Android support from Play Store from time to time, especially for the versions that are now much older with a relatively less user base. Starting August, Google is dropping Play Store support from Android 4.4 KitKat.
KitKat was launched back in 2013 and that makes it an almost 10 years old operating system. Google has mentioned that not more than 1% of Android smartphones or tablets today are running on Android 4.4 KitKat. And, that’s why it will “no longer support KitKat in future releases of Google Play Services.
