Doctor loses Rs 1.40 lakh while ordering samosas

MUMBAI: A doctor who wanted to buy samosas from a well-known eatery in Sion in Mumbai while going for a picnic ended up losing Rs 1.40 lakh to the cyber frauds.

Police said, the 27-year-old doctor, who is working with the KEM Hospital on July 8, planned to go for a trip to Karjat (near Mumbai in Maharashtra) along with his colleagues for which he decided to order samosas from Guru Krupa hotel at Sion.

The victim’s google searched the eatery and found one number.

He called up the said number and placed an order for 25 plates of samosa.
