NDMC Policy not ‘forward-looking’, to affect telecom connectivity due to restrictions: DIPA
NEW DELHI: The Digital Infrastructure Providers Association (DIPA) on Saturday opposed the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) Policy, arguing that it is not “forward-looking” and it is not aligned with the central Right of Way (RoW) policy which will result in telecom connectivity getting affected.
The Delhi-based tower companies’ association said, “The charges mentioned therein both in respect of existing as well as for future towers are too high, and the conditions are too stringent. Although the initial policy mentions a single window clearance, it later introduces several agencies and committees for approvals on a case-to-case basis.”
