Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion faces backlash over AI-generated scenes, here’s what the creators has to say

Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion premiered earlier this week. The opening sequence revealed the mystery behind the series – shape-shifting aliens had infiltrated Earth. However, following the episode, director Alim Selim told The Polygon that the opening was created using artificial intelligence.

Selim said that using AI for the opening credits aligns with the show’s themes. “When we reached out to the AI vendors, that was part of it — it just came right out of the shape-shifting, Skrull world identity, you know? Who did this? Who is this?” he said, adding that he doesn’t “really understand” how artificial intelligence works, though it piqued his interest.
