E-payments hinder DVAC efforts to trap corrupt staff

The shift to digital payments has put a crimp in the efforts of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption to nab ‘corrupt’ government servants in Tamil Nadu. Earlier, the payment was in cash and DV&AC sleuths could trap the offender by lacing currency notes with chemicals and build a watertight case for conviction.
