40% enterprises planning edge deployments concerned with current infra capabilities: NTT report
NEW DELHI: Two-thirds (or nearly 66%) of enterprises investing in the edge are solving real-world business challenges, while 8 out of 10 organisations expect their dependence on third-party services to grow over the next two years, according to a report released by Japanese telecoms company NTT on Friday.
But, nearly 40% of those planning edge deployments are concerned that current infrastructure capabilities won’t be able to support the promise of edge, as per the report.
NTT said that enterprises are realising the advantages of edge by benefiting from technologies that accelerate data-driven decision-making, secure physical and virtual assets, and control sustainably resilient operations.
