Web3, Metaverse could be $200 bn opportunity for India: Arthur D. Little

NEW DELHI: The market for Web3 and Metaverse is projected to grow at an annual rate of 40% in India, with the potential to become a $200 billion opportunity by 2035, according to a report released by management consulting firm Arthur D. Little on Thursday.

Metaverse, according to the report, is defined as the future version of the internet, which will blend reality and virtuality and converge immersive spaces, social and collaborative experiences, and the creator economy.

The firm estimates that Metaverse will become a $13 trillion opportunity globally by 2030. It further forecasted that nearly 8% of the $160 trillion global GDP by 2030 will come from Web3 and Metaverse.
