Samsung may start developing chips for XR devices: Report
Several major tech companies are expected to foray into the Extended Reality (XR) market. Reports suggest that Apple is likely to launch its first-ever AR/VR headset, rumoured to be named Reality Pro, at the company’s annual developer conference, WWDC 2023 which is set to be held on June 5. Now, Samsung is also reportedly planning to develop chips for XR (Extended Reality) devices. According to a report by Korea Economic Daily, the tech giant is expected to unveil a new XR headset in late 2023 or the first half of 2024. The report claims that the company has a ‘concrete’ plan to is expected to unveil a new XR headset sometime later this year or the first half of next year.
