Shipments in India PC market fall 30.1% in Q1, top 5 vendors in red: IDC
NEW DELHI: Shipments in the India PC market declined 30.1% year-over-year to 2.99 million units in Q1 2023 and all top vendors, excluding HP Inc, registered a fall in their market shares, according to the latest report released by the International Data Corporation (IDC) Tuesday.
The PC market includes desktops, notebooks, and workstations. The research firm attributed the decline in shipments to the continuing fall in demand.
HP, the no.1 vendor, held a market share (by volume) of 33.8% in Q1 despite its shipments falling 30.2% year-over-year, followed by Lenovo with a share of 15.7%, and Dell Technologies with a 13.9% share. Acer Group and Asus secured fourth and fifth ranks with a share of 12.3% and 6.6%, respectively, as per IDC.
