Worldpay to focus on large cross-border payments in India

Global digital payments company Worldpay from FIS is looking to expand its cross-border payment offerings in India, with the aim of taking Indian merchants global, a senior executive said.

In an interaction with ET, Yvonne Szeto, vice president, commercial, for Worldpay from FIS’s Asia-Pacific business, said she is looking to work with domestic merchants who are selling goods and services abroad. Given that Worldpay operates in multiple geographies, it can help these businesses offer unique payment solutions for specialised markets, she said.
