Jio Platforms FYQ4 net profit up 15.6%; ARPU rises to Rs178.8

Mumbai: Jio Platform Ltd (JPL), which houses Reliance Industries’ telecom and digital properties, posted a better-than-expected 15.6% increase in quarterly net profit, boosted by strong subscriber additions in its mobile phone business, higher data consumption by users, and lower spectrum usage charges and finance cost.

For the January-March quarter, JPL’s consolidated net profit rose to Rs 4,984 crore from Rs 4,313 crore in the fourth quarter a year earlier and Rs 4,881 crore in the previous three months, it said in a statement Friday.
