Scribes’ Twitter Accounts Withheld

Amidst the police action against ‘Waris Punjab De’, several Twitter accounts were withheld in India, including those belonging to a few journalists from Punjab, and Sangrur MP Simranjeet Singh Mann.

It has been learnt that nearly 75 accounts, with many belonging to Punjab-based journalists, have been withheld, including that of Indian Express reporter Kamaldeep Singh Brar, Pro Punjab TV bureau chief Gagandeep Singh, independent journalist Sandeep Singh, digital activist Pieter Friedrich, besides Canadian politician Jagmeet Singh, Sangrur MP Simranjeet Singh Mann, among others.

The disclaimers at the bottom read that these accounts had “been withheld in India in response to a legal request”.
