BSNL ‘notice’: New trick in the book for cyber cons in Ludhiana

LUDHIANA: Cyber fraudsters have found a new trick to dupe people. They send a forged ‘notice’ of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), warning consumers that their SIM cards will be blocked, leading to disconnection. One such matter has come to the notice of the cyber cell of Ludhiana police commissionerate following which the cops have released an awareness video for the residents.

Inspector Jatinder Singh, in-charge, cyber cell, said, “Cyber fraudsters have been changing their modus operandi to dupe people.
