Bharti Airtel Q3 net profit up 91.5% on-year to Rs 1,588 crore

NEW DELHI: Bharti Airtel’s consolidated net profit for the fiscal third quarter rose 91% from a year earlier, helped mainly by lower spectrum usage charges (SUC), strong 4G user additions and data consumption growth.

But quarterly net profit fell nearly 26% sequentially to Rs 1,588.2 crore, missing estimates, mainly due to an exceptional charge of Rs 669.8 crore in the December quarter.
