Police bust cyber thugs cheating people on online lotteries

Now cyber thugs have started making people their prey in the name of online shopping and lucky draws. Ranchi Police has busted one such gang and arrested three of its members. This gang has cheated about 150 people across the Country in the name of lucky draw and online shopping. All the arrested people are residents of Bihar.

Addressing a press meet Ranchi SSP, Kishore Kaushal said that the police had received information about cyber fraud from people in this case. “A team was formed under the leadership of Sadar DSP, Prabhat Ranjan and Cyber DSP, Yashodhara for the investigation. Apart from Sadar police station In-Charge, Shyam Kishore, other people were also included in this when this team investigated the matter and arrested the criminals,” he added.1
